Delete Your Account

Permanently remove your PrepNus account and personal data. Read this page in full before you start — deletion is irreversible.

This is permanent. Once your account is deleted, your profile, practice history, scores, streaks, XP, bookmarks, written submissions, and premium access are gone forever. We cannot restore them — even if you sign up again with the same email.

Before You Delete

A short checklist so you don't lose anything you may want later:

How to Request Deletion

You can request deletion two ways. Both follow the same verification and timeline. The email path is recommended because it gives you a written confirmation trail.

Option 1 — Email (Recommended)

  1. Email [email protected] from the email address registered to your PrepNus account.
  2. Subject line: Account Deletion Request
  3. Include your registered email and registered phone number in the body. (Sending from the same address is itself the primary identity check.)
  4. We reply within 48 hours to confirm receipt and verify identity.
  5. Account is fully deleted within 7 business days of verification.

If you cannot access your registered email, see “Lost access to your email” below.

Option 2 — In the App

  1. Open PrepNus and sign in.
  2. Go to the Profile tab.
  3. Tap SettingsDelete Account.
  4. Confirm. The same 7-business-day deletion pipeline runs server-side.

You can still email [email protected] within 48 hours to cancel the request before it is processed.

What Gets Deleted

Every personal record tied to your account is permanently removed:

What Is Retained (and Why)

To meet legal, security, and accounting obligations, a small set of records may persist after your account is deleted. None of it is used to identify or contact you.

Anonymised and legally-required records cannot be deleted on request. Everything else listed under “What Gets Deleted” is purged.

Account deactivated & personal data scheduled for deletionYou can no longer sign in. Premium access ends. Push tokens revoked.

Personal data purged from production systemsAll categories listed under “What Gets Deleted” are removed.
≤ 90 days
Backups rotate; security logs anonymisedBackup snapshots containing your data age out. Only anonymised residuals remain.

Change Your Mind

You can cancel a deletion request any time within the first 48 hours by replying to our confirmation email. Once Day 7 begins, deletion is in motion and cannot be reversed.

Lost Access to Your Email

If you no longer have the email address registered to your PrepNus account, email [email protected] from any address and include:

Children and Guardians

PrepNus is not directed at children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has created an account, email [email protected] — we delete it within 7 business days at no charge and without identity verification beyond your own email.

For users aged 13–17, the deletion request must be authorised by a parent or legal guardian emailing from their own address.
